Tai Chi is a very gentle form of exercise that uses the whole body and helps the mind to focus. It is slow as well as gentle and therefore suitable for almost everyone (if in doubt ask your G.P.) We have members who range from their 20’s to our Senior member (my Mum) who is over 90 and still practices 3 or 4 times a week. No special clothes or equipment are required. A loose fitting outfit that will not restrict movement is best and barefoot, slipper socks or flattish shoes is acceptable (I usually advise trainers or similar). This style does not need a large area to practice so it is quite easy to do at home once the moves have been learned.
